Provo Leftovers

This is a collection of our Provo Leftover Moments!  In other words memories we have forgotten to add until now........
 Mt. Timpanogos temple
Futi Tavana and Cary Shane.  They were mission companions in the Spanish speaking Riverside California mission.
 COSMO
This is Buba.  Cary Shane's cousin rented this miniature house pig to propose to his fiance.  The pig was our house guest for a few hours.  Don't worry, I disinfected that night!!
Cary Shane and Taj on the birthday saddle at Texas Roadhouse!
Cary Shane and his 25th birthday.
We went to a senior athletic banquet for track.

Before heading home from our Disneyland trip we spent a day at the beach!  There were lots of people there and we found out that was because of the big duck race.  This big dump truck dumped out hundreds of yellow ducks and waited to see which one would hit the shore first.
 The duck race in action.

On our way back to Provo we stopped in St. George to view the full Solar Ecclipse.  We watched it through four pairs of sunglasses.  I don't know if this was the best thing for our eyes but it was really neat to see.  Below are our attempts at taking a picture of it through our sunglasses and the very bottom pictures if an actual picture of an eclipse.

We climbed up Dixie Rock to eat a picnic for dinner!  Great end to a fun trip.

Disneyland

Cary Shane and I took our first vacation together to the happiest place in the world--Disneyland!  As part of our graduation gift we visited Disneyland and California Adventures for two days and then went to the beach before heading back to Provo.  This was our big vacation before Cary Shane gets busy with PT school in San Angelo, Texas.
In front of Splash Mountain.  We had gotten on this ride after waiting for 45 minutes then around 10 seconds into the ride it breaks down so we have to get off again.  :(  Good news was we got a free fast pass.  :)
Space Mountain was Cary Shane's favorite ride.  It's a huge roller coaster in the dark with a few stars shining.  Sheer terror!!
Disneyland is set up into different sections.  Adventureland was my favorite.

Bumper Cars.....really really slow kid bumper cars!  :)
Tower of Terror was my favorite ride at California Adventures.  Cary Shane did not enjoy this ride as much...... especially not the first time when I failed to mention it drops five stories at a time.....oops!

Just as i'm taking this picture i hear..... "Sir, Sir, SIR, you MUST have two feet on the ground!"  I don't think the Disneyland worker appreciated our creativity.
Went on the swinging Ferris Wheel with another random couple so we each took pictures for each other.  :)
The Mickey behind us is made out of flowers.
 Jessie
 Woody
My favorite ride at Disneyland was the Indiana Jones ride.
We went through the outdoor's course from Up.

Needless to say.....neither of us is King Arthur material.
Really fun Disneyland Adventure Trip!

BYU Graduation

Cary Shane and I both graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah on 20 April 2012.  We were priviledge to have family down for the past few days.  The Commencement was on the 19 at 4:00 in the Marriott Center, and the Convocation was at 8:00 AM on the 20th in the Smith Field House.  After all the time and energy put into our college careers, I can definately say it was worth it!  Education is so important and can open so many doors for our future.  I may be a little biased having gone into Elementary Education, but I love this anonymous quote,
"Teaching creates all other professions."
On our way to the Commencement Ceremony

Cary Shane's 25th Birthday!!

Cary Shane turned 25 on April 7, 2012.  I wanted to surprise him so I decided to leave him a litle surprise 2 days before his actual birthday.  Needless to say it was a success. :)

The theme for the surprise was 25.  I went and had 13 balloons filled with helium and on the bottom I attached a memory that occured throughout his past year of life.   (ex. working in Burley, got engaged, going through the temple with me, getting married in Salt Lake temple, getting accepted into PT school, etc.)  These balloons were placed on the bed. Then I blew up 12 balloons and inside put little notes for him to read after he had popped them.  These I put on the floor of the bedroom.
I had the hardest time getting him to go back into the bedroom so after being home for almost three hours i finally asked him to go and grab something that was in the bedroom.  I have the hardest time with surprises but it's even harder when you have to wait forever!!!  He literally jumped  back out of the bedroom.

**Fun Days**

Cary Shane and I are enjoying our last few months in Utah.  These pictures represent just a few of our quick updates on fun ideas/dates.
Attended the Hunger Games and loved the movie!  We liked how it followed the book so closely.
Ate our (American) Chinese Food dinner on the ground with our little table.
I got this apron for a wedding gift.  I walked into the kitchen where Cary Shane was grilling our steaks for Sunday dinner and I found this guy!  :)  I quickly got the camera before he could refuse.

Hogle Zoo

We had a great trip to the Zoo this past week.  Carol and Mom came to Utah because Carol had school off for Spring Break.  Below are some of our fun activities at the zoo.  Sadie and Carol loved the carousel.  Some favorite animals of our group included the elephant, ape, and tiger.
